Today, you need to go to each file and say click download to download the file. This is more applicable for vault office where there is no relation as such between the files in the folder, but makes sense to download the folder as a whole.

In which upcoming release will this take place - When?
As an extension of the idea - Can this feature be enabled/disabled to specified user groups? We would want certain groups the ability to download an entire folder/subfolders to zip...but not to other specified groups using the Vault Thin Client as a security precaution.

On the Download permission with the latest release of Vault we have separated Read and Download permissions. So now you have more control on who can Read and Who can download. When the admin sets that permission that should be honored in all the clients.
