Thanks for posting the idea. What problem does this solve to rename the message? The issue with this is synchronizing new emails coming in with the same subject text. You rename it, the new messages in the same thread would not get linked appropriately.
The actual problem is that some of my Colleges missusing the subject of a mail to write long text inside. So i get error messages when i want to check it in. on the other side the subjects are terrible and no information inside. I normaly save the mails in the project folder, so not on a central folder. And save ther max 5-20 mails. so when i want to search the mail i go to the folder and search according name.
So when i use the mail to write a answer i normaly shorten the subject so or so to have a clear subject for the project.
