Backup by vault instead of by server

Backup by vault instead of by server

As of now the only possible way to backup a vault seems to be by backing up the whole server, including any and all vaults present.

When serving Autodesk Vault in an environment with multiple vaults for multiple projects or organizational units, some of which may over time even only be online for reference purposes, this creates a lot of unnecessary overhead!

Because of this I'd really appreciate the option to select specific vaults for backup by the ADMS console, instead of always having to dump the whole server to the backup store.

WT*?! - I just spent an hour on a comment, just to be told my session timed out. Bad, bad UX! 😞

I was searching for this option right now.

Scheduled backup isn't doing anything, so I thought to create a testvault and experiment while engineers can keep working.

Then I noticed I am missing an option...

Totally agree with this idea.

It will be a very useful feature. When the number of vaults are growing, next backups files are more difficult to manage.

Options:

- Schedule backup by vault

- Incremental and Full backup by vault

- Or provide a selective restore by Vault from the Full backup server (while the previous options are developed)

Hi,

Currently, I have a client who has a vault backup process with a duration of 3 DAYS. Backup files too big and growing!. Definitely this does not make any sense..
