Auto-Generated Numbering Schemes

We need to be able to add to the Pre-Defined List segment of a given numbering scheme.

We often need to add on abbreviations through out our projects life for an area that has been added to the scope of works etc.

I understand that we cannot edit an existing numbering scheme that is active and in use, but to add on to the existing Pre-Defined list shouldn't be a big problem.

All I know is that its a big hassle as I end up having lots of numbering schemes
