Also, you could do this with Data Standard.

I'm trying to get rid of the bad habit people have around here to name parts according to whatever was the first word they've seen in their bowl of Alpha-Bits this morning. I hate the way Data Standard hijacks the Windows file dialog interface with a passion and I refuse to use it until this changes and everyone in our company feels the same.

The way numbering schemes works right now is unusable with our established system, having the ability to let's say, use the Project user defined property in here would make it more usable here.

Hi,

I like this idea, in my use case scenario I would like the "Project Number" adding to the font of the numbering system.

So, I have a "Project Number" property that sits inside a the project folder datasheet, let's say Project "P1234" and all files within that project folder I want to be named "Project Number" "Dash" "Next Sequential Number". Therefore, P1234-001, P1234-002, P1234-003 etc.

The next project I do, the "Project Number" will now be P1235, so all documents should be named P1235-001, P1235-002, P1235-003 etc.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards

Jonny
