4 eyes check on state change

There should be a possibility to add rules to lifecycles that a person that press reviewed cannot release the drawing. If Ed Engineer has reviewed a drawing Ed Engineer cannot release it.

Hi,

if you need this, there are some Addons available to do this.

Yes there is, and we will use an extra addo-on. However I would say a program like Vault should provide basic safety features e. g 4-eyes control and demand minimum password for performing state changes. The features should be easy for autodesk to implement.

@evenmartinsen Autodesk has implemented this in the Enterprise Add-on:

You could also use the existing ECO to lock the lifecycle state change:

Thats good that the enterprise add-in has it. However, a 4-eye control is basic when doing revisions, and should not be in a extra add-on. It should be a standard function.

Just an idea for implementation:

If there was a way to read the logged in user name in the transition criteria, the four eyes principle could be achieved by checking that it is different from the file creator user name.
