All of a sudden, everyone is getting the following error on our Vault Thin Client. People are able to log in and see the start up screen, but clicking item master, or file explorer yields the following error.

Error occurred while generating entity view.

Parameter is not valid.

Can you verify that the properties that are showing in the grid in your image are still enabled inside of Vault?  Or you can log in as Administrator and reset the columns to default and see if this solves the problem.

I can verify that everything shown in the grid on that screen shot is still available (and enabled), and I even further and checked that all the properties listed out as default views on the settings are also still in there and enabled. Enforce default properties is NOT enabled, so that also shouldn't be the problem.

Between the span of when it was working last and stopped working, I had been in Vault Thin Client about 10min earlier and between then hadn't touched any settings in Vault. I'm the only Vault admin so no one else would have touched anything either.

Here's something else I tried that might present a better path to the issue; I selected the filter to show only 'released' items (to which we have 0) and all of a sudden the thin client worked again. All the files and folders could be navigated as per normal, but obviously non of the items were visible.

Smiley Mad .... Then, for no reason, even with that filter still on, it stopped working on the file explorer again!!

Can you check your Vault logs in the ADMS Console to see if it is logging problems when this error occurs?

It 'magically' fixed itself just as randomly as it broke. I spoke with our IT company that was working on it and here was there response. I'm not sure what the 'tweaks' were, but we haven't had any issues since.
