I would like to request clarification regarding an existing Autodesk Vault installation and whether the current setup is supported on Windows 11.
The system currently has the following installed:
- Autodesk Vault Basic 2025 (Server) – Version 30.0.91.0
- SQL instance: AUTODESKVAULT
- Server hostname: FPS-DC02
Could you please confirm whether Autodesk Vault Basic 2025 Server is supported when installed on Windows 11, particularly with the above configuration?
In addition, we would ideally like some assistance in understanding the current Vault deployment in more detail, including:
- What components and services are currently hosted on FPS-DC02
- Which systems or applications are dependent on this Vault instance
- Any considerations, prerequisites, or risks involved in migrating or rebuilding the environment
- Best practice guidance for moving Vault and associated SQL components to replacement hardware
If it is supported to move this environment onto a desktop PC running Windows 11, could you also advise on the recommended system specifications for the new machine? In particular:
- Recommended CPU and core count
- RAM requirements
- Storage type/capacity recommendations
- Any SQL Server considerations
We are currently planning replacement infrastructure and need to understand the supported approach before proceeding with ordering.
Any guidance, documentation, or recommendations you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
