Vault Server size and Local Workspace size query

(Standard Content Centre parts on local pcs)

My LocalWorkspace is 3.51GB in size but our Vault Server Filestore is 9.5GB.

I have done a "get" command on all items in the vault.

I have checked with another engineer and his local workspace is the 3.51GB also.

Can someone clarify this?

Get gets latest version of all files. So two thirds of the files in the server filestore is probably old versions.

If you are using vault Pro/collaboration/workgroup it could also be that some folders are restricted for your user.

When you to a get on everything in the vault you will download 1 version of every file.  The vault filestore likely has multiple versions for many of your files.
