Vault Pro folder permissions

Hi all

I'm our Vault Pro admin/Inventor build and tweaks guy and have discovered some new behaviour outside our permitted/accepted workflow.

This has likely crept in as we have multiple sites and I do not have visiblity of engineering staff based at other remote sites.

Engineers are permitted to create specific folders and filenaming under the projects folder and also the Standards folder however they should not create folders at higher path levels within the workspace.

Admins (me) manage the Design Data styles, templates and authored content center but otherwise anyone who is not admin should not be doing this.

I've never had an instance of this occure here or any place prior and as I currently don't have my dev vault running to test  - Is is possible to set read permissions on the 'Designs' folder and also modify on 'Projects' and 'Standards' such that standard engineering users cannot create subolders in Designs but have full modify rights otherwise?

folder structure for reference:

@G60Dub

Yes, it is possible just as you described.

The best approach is to test it in a test Vault.

Once you are comfortable with how it works, apply the change to your production Vault.
