Vault Pro 2020 Deployment

Hi

Is there any way you can deploy Vault Client using 'Sign In' (Like Inventor or AutoCad) option rather than serial number or network licence?

You are creating a deployment image for Vault Office which does not support the Sign-in option.

That was screenshot from Vault office deployment but i was using Vault professional installation files (Both are combined now Pro and office)

There is no 'sign in' option for Vault pro client deployment as well

Thanks

Hello,

Please note the 'Autodesk ID' 'License Access' option is not supported overall for Vault 2020 in deployment creation - i.e. for Vault Professional as well.

I beg to disagree there Yogeshwar.

When creating a deployment for Vault Professional 2020 there's no option to create a Sign In license access, just Serial Number (Stand-Alone) or Network. If you choose Serial Number and only have Sign In licenses you need to reset the license after installation of the licenses. The situation is the same if you choose Network and only have Sign In. To reset the license open a command prompt and navigate to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdskLicensing\Current\helper

Type the command below to reset the license:

AdskLicensingInstHelper.exe change --prod_key 569L1 --prod_ver 2020.0.0.F --lic_method "" --lic_server_type "" --lic_servers ""

Then you get the chance to select Sign In at first start. I assume the same goes for Vault Workgroup 2020. Change the product key 569L1 to 559L1 then.

You can also copy the text below into a cmd-file and execute it by double click on it:

cd \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdskLicensing\Current\helper
AdskLicensingInstHelper.exe change --prod_key 569L1 --prod_ver 2020.0.0.F --lic_method "" --lic_server_type "" --lic_servers ""
pause

Hi @Anonymous ,

I meant the Vault donot support that 'License Access' in the deployment creation.

Yes, I see you edited your post now 🙂

But why is it not possible to choose sign-in when creating a deployment?

As far as I know, Vault doesn't sell with user license type. could you please first check if your AutodeskID has the entitlement of Vault Profession or Workgroup from https://manage.autodesk.com? if you can see them, please try to expand its page and check if you find the Serial / Key. if yes, standalone license could work for you when creating deployment.

if you cannot find the Serial / Key and still want to use your account to create deployment. please follow below steps.

  1. Open install source package, backup copy setup.ini to setup.ini.sav
  2. Open setup.ini
  3. Find [GLOBAL_MSI_PROPERTIES]
  4. Add

[PRIMARY_MSI_PROPERTIES]
ACADLOCKTYPE=2
ACADSTANDALONENETWORKTYPE=0
ADSK_GLOBAL_PROP_LIST=INSTALLDIR;ADSK_LAUNCH_MODE;ACADSERIALNUMBER;ACADSERIALPREFIX;ACADLOCALEID;ADSK_EULA;ADSK_EULA_STATUS;ADLM_EULA_COUNTRY;ACADSTANDALONENETWORKTYPE;ADLM_PRODKEY;ADSK_PRODUCTKEY_VALIDATED;ACAD_LICENSESERVER_DISTRIBUTED;ACADLICENSETYPE;ACADLICENSESERVERTYPE;ACADSERVERPATH;ACADSERVERFMTPATH

5. Save setup.ini

6. Create deployment with your AutodeskID

It allows to create a deployment of Vault Proffesional with Log-on activation option.

I was unable to create the deploment of Vault Office (on the next screen Vault Proffesiional is aleady chosen and i cannot change it to Vault office). How to solve this problem ?

I just bought Autodesk Log-in licenses for Vault office.

For Vault Office you should select product key 555M1 instead of 569M1 for Pro

Hi Kevin

We are trying this method with Vault 2018 Office. But it seems to be making the Vault Office selection unavailable. Any ideas to make office available for selection as a sign in user?
