Vault mode and TrustedDWG

Can anybody explain to me what Vault mode and TrustedDWG mean?

I am trying to pin point my problem with AutoCAD 2015. I have been working on as built DWG files on AutoCAD and noticed the asterisk as well as a start up message as I opened this vault file... " File is a TrustedDWG last saved by an Autodesk application or Autodesk licensed application." I am able to save my edits in the program but when I try to open them up on another user (on the same computer) or through the network drive we have here, the original drawing appears instead of the most recent edits. 

The last thing that baffles me is that when I do save these new edits, the preview of the file when you highlight it in the network folder shows my most recent edits. On top of that, the last saved date changes to the current date and it still OPENS UP THE ORIGINAL FILE.

what an issue that you face... this kind of problem need to be " live " and make trials to see how to deal with.for that i'll give some hints for you and i hope to get you more close for the solution :

• make sure that you have the same named drivers from both users.(let your IT guy confirm this important matching)
• Make sure that you make Qsave NOT save from your first user.because they give you different action.
• from the first user make SAVE AS to your edited drawing in the same folder location with totally different name and see if it's appear from your second user.

Basically, the only way to see the previous work I have done is to be on my user and go to my pinned work on the AutoCAD page which is named "LAH - 12." This file is active and present in the drive and when qsave is keyed it saves it under that pathway. When you click on the same file name that is pinned to the AutoCAD page than it pulls up, what I am guessing, the vault (original file). I have tried to save it as every option listed on the save as tab and it either has a layer issue that requires xref (cannot figure that out) or it will pull up the vault (original file). I have all these files pinned and saved but I need to be able to access them through the network drive to actually use my updated drawings. Any help is appreciated.
