Vault Mass Archival and Delete Performance

We have Vault 2021 and want to archive old data out of Vault before our 2025 upgrade.  There are hundreds of folders with almost one million files that we want to archive.  To archive the data (since Vault doesn't have a method), I've been doing a "get" on folders to export files, then doing a "delete" operation in Vault to remove those folders.  This has been painfully slow during the "get" operation and deletion.   During deletion we are only allowed to delete one folder at a time, which is a pain.  Also, the deletion fails with this error below when folders have more than a couple thousand files, or we will get an "Execution Timeout Expired" message in the server logs.

How are others dumping large amounts of data out of Vault and how are you removing that data from Vault?

Have you seen these issues I am describing?

Ideally, Vault would have a good archival method, but this is all we have at this time.
