If you are using Vault Gateway to connect to a Vault via cloud connection, the server field is an actual address: https://resources.imaginit.com/support-blog/autodesk-vault-gateway-returns-could-not-find-data-manag...

Or perhaps you just need to make sure you are connected to the same network, via VPN, or directly.

Check to see if you can ping the server from the PC. You might also need to put in the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name)...so if you are just using "SERVER-XX" then you might need to put in "SERVER-XX.company.net". You also might have to log into the VPN if you are not on the local network.

If that doesn't work, IIS might not be running on the server, and it won't be able to find the server. You can always log into the server and try doing an IISRESET to restart it or start it.

@DarrenP

All other user machines get the same error.
This is our first time installing it.

Vault add in Inventor detects the vault server, but it just spins not logging in. On the vault basic app, the vault server is not detected. I don't know if I missed any installation step? Please help me.

Can you log into ADMS on the server? Can you get to the Tools>Administration page within the ADMS console?

If you can get to Tools>Administration, then the webconfig is ok. Do you have a Vault client installed on the server? Can you login through it? Try installing the client on the server and see if you can login and try also "localhost" as the server name in the client on that server.

If you can login, it means there might be a firewall or something blocking the access...

@dave_taylor

I installed the vault client on the server and successfully logged in on the "localhost" server with no problem.
But when I log in vault client on the user machine on the same network, I get an error like I said above.

I have tried disable the firewall of both the server and the client but the error still.

Can you ping the server from the PC? Did you try using the Fully Qualified Domain name?

My PC is able to ping the server. The server shared the network drive for my PC.
Do I have to run IISRESET?

try turning off firewall on server as a test.  if this works then configure the firewall.

Thanks to everyone who suggested me solutions.
I sat down with the IT department, and I told them that something was preventing the client's connection to the server. And we have found that IT has used a 3rd party application to restrict external access for the purpose of data security installed on client computers. After disabling that feature, the Vault client was able to log in on the server.

Thank for all.

Glad you got it figured out. Everything you responded back to meant it was good on the server side, so I figured it was something stopping the connection. Cheers!
