Vault Basic 2022- The requested file was missing from the file store

I am using Vault Basic on my home workstation.  Been using it for several versions without any issues.  In Vault Basic 2022, when I try to do a Copy Design on a file, I get the error "The requested file was missing from the file store".

I can do a "Get" and and "Check-out" and that completes successfully.  I ran a -oValidatefilestore from the CMD window and it did not show any errors.  I have 65GB free space on the hard drive where the filestore resides.

I can open the file in Inventor, save and check it back in.  Then try to do a copy design again, and it still says file is missing.  The console log shows this:

I browsed in the filestore and this file is there.

Pretty sure the files are there, but for whatever reason, Vault thinks they are not.  After some searching, I found this article "...Missing from the file store" while working in Vault. but did not do any operations yet because I was afraid I would  damage the filestore.

Suggestions to get my Vault operational again?

Thanks

Kirk

@karthur1

Those paths are not the same.

One is E:\Vault\000\....

The other is E:\Vault\Filestore\Vault

Good eye.  So its not looking in the right place for the files.  Do I need to Detach/Attach the filestore?

Yes, that will fix it.

I did the deatach/reattach.  I got a prompt that said it was successful and a validate had been scheduled.

I then tried a copy design of a single .ipt and it said it could not validate the file. When I look at the log, there is hundreds of entries that says it can't validate the files.

Did I do something wrong with the Detach/Attachment?

Tried detach/attach again.  This time I checked the "Quick Validate" and I picked a different Vault\filestore directory (not sure why there are two of them).  This time there is not nearly as many files in the log file that it can't validate.  See attached .log file.

I have these files locally, but not sure how to get them back into the database.  Suggestions?

Thanks

See if these files exist in the other file store. If so, make a backup copy of the ones in the file store you are currently using, then copy the files from the other file store. You can run a command-line file store validation without having to detach\attach again.

If this fails, you may have some corrupt files in your file store and need to restore from a known good backup.

For all the files in the log that shows "..can't validate...", I do have a local copy of them.  I just went through and deleted those from Vault and then added them back from Inventor. Even though these files appear in the Vault, they really were not there (if that makes sense). If I tried to rename, copy design ... etc, I would get the error saying it was missing. After adding them back, I can now do those operations.

There are a few content center members that I can't get resolved.  If I try to add the new member, vault wont allow it b/c it says the file already exists.  I wanted to just search inside Vault and delete the file, If I search Vault, it does not find the file, so there is no way to delete it. Not sure what I will di right now for those.

I do have a backup from May 2023 that I started to restore, but I am now concerned that this backup may have the corrupted/missing files in the backup.  I am not sure what brought this on or when it happened. I do not do anything out of the ordinary with this home workstation.
