Hey Guys,
First post here. Our company has a large number of parts and assemblies. We recently migrated data to vault in creating new product lines and I am using the "status" as a filter to track which files need to be updated and re-released when we institute a design change.
Here is the problem; when I have an assembly which has a simplified version the status will always show out of date. I have tried checking out the files, rebuilding/updating all of the parts (shrink-wrapped version no simplification, shrink-wrapped version for client BIM data, and master assembly). Then I have checked in all of the files at the same time... but vault still shows the product out of date. If I force through vault client to "mark as up to date" then vault either crashes or throws an error. I assume there is some sort of cyclical relationship amongst the model states preventing this from updating.
We use this to determine which documents and assemblies are out of date when we push through an ECO or release a product for manufacturing.
Is this a bug in vault or am I doing something wrong?
Please help!
