Vault 2022 Forge Viewer Measure - doesn't always allow to measure

Gang...

The new viewer technology in Vault is awesome.

But, on some files, I don't have ability to measure the models.

The idw's seem to be fine.

I Updated the model dwf via the Thick Client (Update) but still won't measure.

Any idea what determines if I can measure a model or not?

Best,

Steve H.

Hi Steve... hope you're doing well!

Is this consistent with all models, or are there only certain ones that you cannot measure?

Hello Chris...

Yes, fine here. Thx. Hope same is up there.

Only certain models. Some act as they should.

They all view fine, just can't measure on Thick and Thin clients on certain files.

It's isolated to Thick Client and Thin Client browser (Think Forge Viewer is local on these two when viewing).

I tested on mobile app and same file I can measure. But, I think the Forge viewer runs externally on the app.

Best,

Steve H.

Do you have an easy model that you could share?  Simple part maybe?  I'd like to see if I get the same results.

Thanks, got the file.  I was able to measure with this in thick client, both in the preview window and with using View to pop out to a larger window.  I don't have thin client set up so I'm not able to test there.

Might be time to bring in @ihayesjr to have a look?

@CGBenner...that's good to hear. It's isolated to our environment

Looks like a Vault and Inventor patch came out yesterday.

Assuming this is a Vault Client update that fixes it?

Assuming the Server patch has not been released yet? That would fix the Thin client?

Server and Client Vault Patch are available.

The Server patch is for the Thin Client Viewing and do not forget to clear the cache in the browser,so the new data gets loaded.

Thanks

Sorry Gentlemen...

Did a little more testing and not sure it's completely fixed...I have to turn on a setting and can't measure holes.
