Vault 2020 "Stock Number" from Inventor files only shows up for Content Center created parts.

Heyas!

I went through and assigned iProperties to all of my details for a model. When I checked them into Vault, I noticed that the field for "Stock Number" is blank for almost every part, except for the Content Center stuff (pipes etc).

Does anyone know what would cause this to be the case? Every single thing on that list has information in the right (stock number) field, and yet only the pipes show up.

Are your mappings set to be either bi-directional or from either Vault or from the File (depending on where you are writing them) for Stock Number in the Vault? Are there multiple mappings which could cause it to be blanked out?

For troubleshooting, you can also try updating the stock number property in Vault and do a Synchronize Properties to see if it holds...

Where can I find the settings to check if it is bi-directional?

As of now, the properties that don't show up are checked in via Inventor.

I figured it would be under Admin/Property Definitions, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Tools > Admin > Vault Settings > Behaviors > Properties > select an User-Defined property (person icon) then either: 1) pick mapping on the lower section, or 2) click Edit first then Mapping to modify.

Thank you for leading me there, but unfortunately mine already say yes to both mapping directions.
Is there anything you can think of that would cause parts created via Content Center to show their stock number values in Vault, while the parts created via "new" do not?

Have you tried a Synchronize Properties on a file that you know has Stock Number filled out and not showing? If it still doesn't show, you might need a property re-index in the Vault. Those properties show in the Vault client from the vault index of the properties.

I have done a workplace sync, and nothing has changed. I am not sure how to go about just syncing the properties themselves.

I deleted the local files I had and did a "get" to pull them from vault to see if anything was conflicting. The parts themselves still all have the data entered while still now showing so in Vault.

Not a workspace sync. That is doing nothing other than checking the files you have downloaded locally in your workspace on your PC compared to Vault. You need to do a Synchronize Properties on the file to check it within the Vault...select the file, go to Actions>Synchronize Properties

Check the category that the parts are in have the Stock Number property assigned to it.

So, changing the category to a different one had the part numbers pop up, I am going to tinker with them now.
