Win 7 Pro 64 bit, Product Design Suite Ultimate 2017, local install
Am trying to re-install Vault Basic 2017 Server. I was forced to do a Windows system restore after doing a large Windows Update - computer could not handle all the updates and began acting very strangely, lost printers, Windows Internet Explorer lost functionality, began to get warnings about out of date ActiveX controls, etc. etc.) Upon restore, I found that the Vault Server SQL database was hosed. I uninstalled (from Control Panel) the Vault Server, then tried to reinstall. The installer returned the following error:
When I click on the blue hyperlink it brings me to this page:
As near as I can tell, my condition is Condition 7:
Condition 7 If the installer found a Microsoft SQL Server database instance named AUTODESKVAULT, but the database has an unsupported (case-sensitive) collation, then perform these steps:
- Cancel the installation.
- Uninstall the existing MSSQL$AUTODESKVAULT SQL Server instance.
- Start this installation again.
In Control Panel / Programs and Features, I can find nothing that says anything about MSSQL$AUTODESKVAULT SQL to uninstall, even though I have the "Show hidden files" and "Show system files" options activated in folder options. When I do a search for MSSQL I get this:
The Vault Basic 2017 and several earlier versions of the client are still installed.
So how do I "Uninstall the existing MSSQL$AUTODESKVAULT SQL Server instance" ??
Thank you.
