Rough Pricing Estimate

Hello,

I'm currently putting together a presentation to convince my bosses to get valt. I'm not familiar with the price of adding new users either.

Ok. So lets say we have ~10 users with inventor + autocad. What would it cost to add valt pro to all those devices, and say 10-20 installations of valt office?

Sorry if this isn't the correct place to ask, but I couldn't find a good support email.

Thanks.

Adding to what @swalton said, make certain you look (on that same page) at the features and uses of the different types of Vault, as pricing may vary.  You mentioned Vault Office, but with Inventor and AutoCAD users you probably want either Vault Basic (Available only with a subscription to the Autodesk Product Design & Manufacturing Collection.) or Vault Professional.

pricing is also based on per user

so if all 10-20 users need access to vault at the same time then each user will need a license

Thanks for the reply. I thought we had to have valt pro in order to install valt office on other devices. Perhaps this is just for the thin client?

Follow up question then...

Would you be able to view autocad/ inventor drawing files with Valt Office for printing purposes? 3D models and BOM lists would also be nice, but wasn't sure if this would all be avalible for Valt Basic + Valt Office.

Thanks.

Vault Office is not compatible with Vault Basic.

You need Vault Professional to use Vault Office.

Oh ok. I'm trying to piece together how this would work(simple/cheapest). Does each account that uses Valt office also need a valt pro license? In that case say we get 10 valt professional licenses for our engineering team, could we then use those same accounts for valt office for say 5 shop computers and 5 sales computers?

I recommend that you work with your Autodesk Partner\Reseller to make sure the package you are putting together will work for your requirements.

No, a user with a Vault Office license doesn't need a Vault Pro license.

Vault Office is limited, you need to understand what this user can and cannot do.

If you have 10 Vault Pro licenses and 10 users, you don't need Vault Office licenses.

Licenses are assigned to the user, not the machine.
