Revit & Vault

I am an admin for vault in my company using inventor. I have been so for 15 years and I am very comfortable with it and the way it works. I was just approached by another department within our company who uses Revit and they want to start getting into vault. I am not a Revit user and know very little about it and the way it works. I do know there are some extra settings for vault to get Revit files in there working properly.

My questions are as follows:

1. Can our current Vault server settings be modified to allow Revit to work correctly?

2. Should I just add a new database for their department on our current vault server or should they be on a separate server?

3. What are best practices/advice for handling this situation?

Thank you!

Hello and thanks for the great questions.  To help you a bit better can you please also provide what version and "flavor" of Vault you are using (Basic, WG or Pro), and some details about the server you are running it on?  Thanks!
