Hey team,
Is there a way to link direct to the visual file?
Say my part name is FTRO-001-P1000
I would love a link that takes me to the page that shows the dwf
something like: https://vault.co.nz/vault/viewer?file=FTRO-001-P1000
It gets abstracted to file #56872, but I'm wondering if there's a workaround?
I have 30k files on our digital system for our factory and would like to do a mass replace link, so they can all point in the right place.
Thanks in advance!
@liam.dewhurstNMKYG Unfortunately there is no easy way to create such link. You can see this article as well - https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Generate-a-direct-...
Thin Client creates such link - http://localhost/AutodeskTC/Vault/explore/file/1635 where 1635 is the file Master ID. This varies from version to version of the file if the file has different versions.
So far now the only way is to create the link via Thin Client by copying the URL for each file.
Or using API query all the files with master ID and use this link http://localhost/AutodeskTC/Vault/explore/file/ and add the master ID at the end.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Senthil
We're using files on our Vault - do you know the API query to retrieve the full list of the Master ID, and part numbers? If it pops out into a .CSV that would be amazing.
Or just an API to provide a part number, and return the Master ID #
This API seems close to what we need:
GetLatestFilePathsByNames
But unsure if it will pull a full list?
