.pdf generated by the Jobserver differs from the .idw

Hello all,

From time to time I get some inexplicable errors where the generated .pdf by the Jobserver differs from the actual .idw (This one time, the names of the releasers and reviewers stood blank by the .pdf)
Is this known and is there something that could be done/checked?

Also, I do not know if this is in any way related but the JobServer has a tendency to require a re-start quite often as the jobs keep being pending till giving an error.

Thank you in advance,
Rui

Hello @rvieiraWPK9V ,

Can you show what does the issue look like ?

If possible can you share the drawing and pdf file at yogeshwar.gandhe@autodesk.com

We donot expect any difference in pdf created by vault as compared to inventor.

For job processor restart - can you elaborate what error do you see for jobs ?

Regards,,

Yogeshwar

Verify that the people checking in the drawings do not have DWF creation enabled upon checking in (at their Inventor Vault plugin options). Also read the following ("consider creating PDFs and DWFs files for IDWs, IAMs only on state changes to a released state"):
https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/IDW-DWF-pulling-la...

If you have any plugins triggering the PDF generation, you may wish to try the option to have Inventor create those exports instead:

In some cases,
users edit 3D files but do not check out, open-update and check in the drawing.
Then, by releasing the dwg or idw, the pdf is created with the outdated version of the drawing.
