None of us can log into our vault.  We are met with the message in the subject title.  The vault server is presently on my local machine.  I have tried iireset - done.  I have run the diagnostics - no issues.  I see error 8005 in the log files and other errors.  Is this related to a corrupt xml file?  Where do i go looking for it?  Is it something else?

You mentioned that the log file has 8005 and other errors.  Is there any information around the 8005 message?  That is a generic error web service communication error.  So, you are going down the right path in that it could be something with IIS.  I did find the following articles that may help:

How do I check basic network connectivity between a Vault Client and Vault Server? | Vault Products ...

-and-

How to check if Vaults Servers, Web Service is configured correctly. | Vault Products 2019 | Autodes...

Since you mentioned that the file is on your local machine, can you try "localhost" instead of the machine name in the log in dialog?  I am assuming that it was working, and some recent update created the issue (Autodesk / Microsoft / etc.).

Regards,

Went through most of those links.  Saw one thing that was true instead of false or vice versa.  Do use localhost and have tried 127.0.0.1 - no luck.  I also tried deleting Temporary ASP.NET files but cannot access all because something is using them.

That sounds pretty scary for someone investigating to step up to Vault. Does that mean that your entire CAD dept. cannot work?

@RobJV - What files are you deleting?  What other errors are you seeing in the log file?

I would suggest reaching out to support so that we can help get you up and running.  This way the issue can be investigated.
