Move file store to new disk

On our server we have a 3TB Vault which we would like to move to a dedicated disk.

We have 3 full replications as well as 5 file store replications of this vault.

We cannot accept any downtime that exceeds one weekend. Is there a faster ways to move the file store to the new disk?
Using the "Move File Store" function is quite slow.

I have not used this before but the Redirect File Store command might be what you want.

Agree with @pball, the Redirect File Store would make it look faster. However, you will need to copy your current file store to the new location. Here is the scenario.

• Using Windows Explorer, you navigate to the existing file store location.
• Use a utility like RoboCopy, or Windows Copy, to copy the file store to the new location.
• Once this is complete, use the Redirect File Store command to point to the new location.

Note: Since you let users continue using Vault pointing to the original location, there may be new files in the original file store that need to be copied. You will have to run the copy command again and skip existing files.

I strongly recommend using RoboCopy for this kind of task.
Skipping existing files while copying is one thing.
Getting rid of files that don´t exist in the root-Vault anymore when doing a next or final run before switching filestores is another.
Using RoboCopy with the appropriate arguments for mirroring, keeping filedates, keeping attributes,... will give you least headache and is much mor performant than Windows Copy or through Explorer.

Do NOT remove files from the new location that no longer exist in the old location. The Vault Vacuum Cleaner process will automatically remove unneeded files from the new file store location.
