Mapping Vault Folders in Inventor

Hi everybody,

in Inventor I can map Templetes and Design Date with a folder in Vault.

That was great but now I see that when the folder is mapped you can't deselect a mapping

Is there a way to deselect a mapping for example to the templates

Hello,

I think you can try to revert to previous/historical version of project file  (the one which doesn't have mappings configured) and check in that version as latest one.

Or maybe explore option described here - https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/inventor-vault-2024-mapped-design-data-amp-templates/m...

Hi everybody,

i found an inofficle way

Open the ipj in an editor like notepad ++

Search the CustomSelection area

Delete the path that you didn't want that it looks like so

  <CustomSelections>
    <DesignDataVaultPath/>
    <TemplateVaultPath/>
  </CustomSelections>

So this is similar to what was posted in https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/inventor-vault-2024-mapped-design-data-amp-templates/m...

Thanks for sharing knowledge and solution! 🙂

Hallo @arkad_s

I'm sorry but you are right.

It's the same way.

I read your answer last week but I think is was no longer in my "RAM"

@arkad_s @j_weber

So you moved back without the design folders mapped? I am curious why - are there pitfalls?

I was just assisting with "how" question - not sure what was reason to step back and not use mapping for Design Data or Templates anymore. You must wait for input from @j_weber
