Losted reference to IDW file after IPT file category change

Hi Vault users!
I am doing something wrong, I do not know something, is it a Vault error?
After migrating files from Vault Basic, after changing the category of a model file that has a reference to a drawing (category assignment without parents enabled), the model loses its relationship with the drawing. GET operations are working fine, life cycle state change is not working properly.

Open the drawing, check out the drawing and part, save and check-in both and then try. That should help. This way the drawing consumes the latest part (after assigning category).

Hi @Senthil_Kumar

I know this workaround, but it is not a solution.
In Client Vault, after switching from Vault Basic, I found over 2.5k files with missing references.
I'm looking for a way to fix the reference in all files.
Today I will report it as a fatal error to support.

Regards

Jakub

@j_spiradek one of the tools which help when you migrate from Vault Basic to Vault Workgroup or Professional to setup properly and automatically the desired category, lifecycle definition and much more is the VaultRuler from Coolorange.

Here is a link to how VaultRuler can help with what you're looking for: https://www.coolorange.com/wiki/doku.php?id=vaultruler
