Log-In Issues

I have been logged into vault mobile in the past. Now that the app is the official version, I cannot seem to log in anymore. I have a valid Autodesk ID with a vault pro license. (Vault Pro 2021) I load the app and hit the sign in button. I then enter my autodesk credentials and I get the message: Error: Your account does not have access to the Vault Mobile app. Please consult your administrator for help.

Any ideas why I cannot log in anymore?

Hi

I'm having problems accessing Vault Mobile when connected using mobile data (or anything different from the company wifi). So I guess log-in with the Vault credentials works only with the company wifi?

I tried "resign in with Autodesk ID" receiving error "Your Vault Account is not mapped to an Autodesk ID..."

I'm the administrator, but it looks there is no way to add ID authentication in Vault 2021 as shown in this link: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/vault-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2022/EN...

Any idea?

Hi @aurel_e ,

This sounds like a network problem to me.....

It should be possible to log in to your Vault Server using mobile data and with a Vault Account. But most likely, your Vault Server is not exposed to the Public Internet and is behind a firewall.

We have a public-facing Vault Server that can be used to test connectivity.

So use Vault Mobile to connect to the Server IP Address 168.62.61.26 and log in with the Vault Account Administrator, blank password.

If you can log in there using your Mobile data, it will show you that you can log in with a Vault Account.

A good test is if you open a web browser on your mobile device and enter your Vault server's public address. It should display the IIS Splash screen, like this.

If your browser does not show the IIS splash screen, you will need to work with your network administrator to resolve this.

We have also published this article that might help you.

Thanks Richard

I can confirm what you are saying is correct.
So I guess I will have to speak to our IT manager if we decide we would need to access the server outside of the company site.

@aurel_e

With my company set up, I have to be connected to the VPN on my mobile device if I am not on the company wifi for the Vault mobile to work.
