I struggle to find/get info on who last checked the file in. Is this possible?

Why not? Have you tried and what is the issue you see with that?
It does not answer my need. Created is a one time thing, checked in is a daily occurence thing.
Created by - is not one time thing. It changes per version. Have you tried with different users checking in the same file?
I am sorry the misunderstanding. and thank you. The name is also confusing. I will try this.
