Inventor Design Data and Template Management

Hi

Anyone used the new Inventor Design Data and Template Management in 2024?

I looks like it downloads and overwrite the files every time you  log in to Vault from Inventor or Change projectfile EVEN if you have checked out the files?? Or am I missing something? Hopefully  🙂

@Svein74 You are not missing anything here. That was done intentionally. Because normal users SHOULD NOT check out and edit the Templates. Only Admins should be able to check out and edit. That is why we are downloading it every time.
If the admin wants to check out and edit, he should be placing the Templates in the Normal Inventor Project and do. They should NOT map it in Template folder and check out for editing.

First of all, I am very happy with the new feature 🙂😊, but think the workflow could be improved :-).
Even if you are a admin(Cad-admin) you still need to do some "normal" work, and then with this behavior your changes to Templates\Styles can easily be overwritten..
Not a big-deal, but i could be nice to have a options for not syncing to specific user\group(admins) when checked out?
