Error 1722 installing Autodesk Vault Basic 2019 Client

Hello!
I'm having a problem installing Autodesk Vault Basic 2019 Client:

Operating system: Windows 7 SP1 64 bit (Spanish)
Autodesk Vault Basic 2019 Client (Spanish)
When it is over the end of the installation an error message appears:

Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor

(I attached a message capture. I have translated the message since the installer is in Spanish).

When I accept the error message, the installer makes a roll back, which uninstalls Autodesk Design Review. Then, when reviewing, the client is installed, but it appears in English, the Spanish language is not installed.
I already tried to do the installation in different ways: with remote and local files.
I also uninstalled the Visual C ++ packages to let them install again, but the error persists.
Also, I used the same installation files to do the installation in 4 more machines and there were no problems.
I attach the log files.
Can someone please help me with any suggestions about this issue?

Hi Claudio,

Can you try using the Autodesk Uninstall Tool to uninstall Vault Basic 2019 Client from the system in question? After this, you could try a fresh reinstall of the client with the following steps in mind:

-disabling of any anti-virus applications

-running installer with admin rights

Are the specs of the other PC's that you installed Vault on successfully identical to this particular PC? You could also try re-downloading the appropriate packages from your Autodesk Account. Perhaps the file was corrupted.

Thank you for your answer.

Sorry for not having clarified it in my first message ...
The first time I tried to install, I did it from a deployment I had created on the server.
Then, using the uninstall tool, I uninstalled everything.
Afterwards, I tried to install again using the decompressed files that I had on the server, without using the deployment.
Then, I went back to uninstall it and I copied locally the compressed installation package that I had downloaded (browser download), I unzipped it and tried to install it again from there.
In all these attempts the result was the same.
PC's hardware is not exactly the same, although they are quite similar. The additional software environment is quite different.
In all installation attempts the antivirus software was disabled.
I always did it with an user with local administrator privileges of the computer. I did not try to runas administrator.
Tomorrow, I will re-download a package from the Autodesk Account and I will try to do these two things.
Then I will update the information here.

Hi,

According to the log, the error had happened while the installer was trying to register C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Vault Basic 2019\Explorer\x32\DWFPreviewHandler.dll.

So, try uninstalling ADR and re-installing vault client using "Run as Administrator" option.

Madhan, thank you for your answer.
I tried to do the following:

1. I uninstalled everything. Then, I downloaded a new installation package from Autodesk Account. I ran the installation using Run as Administrator. The installer gave the same error at the same time.
2. I uninstalled everything again. I downloaded the Autodesk Design Review installation package from the Autodesk site. I installed ADR (using Run as Administrator) without problems. I rebooted the PC. Then, I started the AVBC installation using Run as Administrator. The installer detected ADR installed. I continued with the installation and the error reappeared at the same time.

In all the attempts I made sure that the antivirus was disabled and the installation packages were locally available on the PC.
Any other idea?

Here are few more suggestions to try:-

1. At the time of error, before acknowledging the message, please run the below command and capture the output. With this, we may get some extra hint as to why the registration is failing. "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\RegAsm.exe" /codebase "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Vault Basic 2019\Explorer\x32\DWFPreviewHandler.dll"
2. Please try English installation on the current machine just to rule out any issue with Vault client package for Spanish language.

Thanks for your answer.

Answering your suggestions, I did the following:
1 - I executed the command that you indicated to me. It gave me the following error:

Translation: (because the message is in Spanish. OS language)

RegAsm: warningRA0000: The registration of an unsigned assembly with /codebase can cause that assembly to interfere with other applications installed on the same computer. The /codebase switch is only used with assemblies with signs. Provide the assembly with a secure name and re-register it.

RegAsm: error RA0000: Access denied to the requested Registry.

Personal observation: just before the installation error message appears, a command console opens displaying a message similar to the one in the previous image.

2 - I downloaded the installer in English. The same error occurs at the same time. Attached the log file (Log 2.rar)

3 - As an additional test, I uninstalled the .Net Framework (4.7.1 was installed) and allowed the Vault installer to reinstall it as part of the job. There were no changes, the same error continues to occur.

I look forward to more suggestions.
