Copy Design

Don't know what is happening, but copy design fails because of duplicate filenames. As in the error dialobox it states that there is a "23068_2005.dwg" and a "copy of 23068_2005.dwg"

Could it be that you have more than one component as base view? and copy design tries to copy drawing for each of them?

When this happens I enable drawing view, name the "extra drawings" with prefix "deleteme_", "deleteme2_" etc  and delete them after the copy design

It was exactly that. I just could not see the "extra drawings in my numbering panel for renaming, so i delete the extra view on the drawing in question. Then it worked...

Very unpleasant if you have it with multiple files...

yes, this one is a pain the the ¤&%..

It would be useful with some extra intelligence in the copy design logic, or even some more control, like being able to mark a drawing instance in the copy design dialog and mark it as "ignore" or something.

Glad you solved it! 🙂
