Copy Design - UI Upgrade

I thought this link went along with my suggestion. The Copy Design interface could be more friendly. When in the copy utility and I realize I need to add a sub assembly that wasn't included in the assembly I initiated the command with I have to exit the dialog to select multiple assemblies instead of adding more from within the copy design window itself. I also cannot look at the destination folder in vault to ensure I am not duplicating names. My company assigns names in sequential order, so I need to see what the last file name in the destination folder is, and rename my new files accordingly. Currently the Copy Design dialog prevents users from browsing (or even scrolling the open folder) in vault. I have to finish the copy design or cancel it before browsing/verifying in the rest of Vault.

Can you tell me what version of Vault you are using?

You do not have to exit Copy Design to add a sub-assembly. It is a Modeless dialog which allows you to go to the Vault Client select another assembly and add it to the existing Copy Design window.

I am using 2019 Professional. We are on a bi-annual upgrade plan; so we will not upgrade until 2021, possibly 2022 (to match other business segments within our company). I will look at the link you provided for 2020 improvements. There are some iLogic drawing improvements in Inventor 2020 that I am looking forward to trying out as well. Currently when I use Copy Design in 2019, it is a modal dialog. If in 2020 it is modeless then that is all that was needed. If there is an option that I have overlooked to make it modeless in 2019 please let me know.  Thanks!

@jholland3XDLM for Vault 2019 the copy design dialog is not modeless. However you have another option within the copy design dialog to add other files like assemblies to be copied. Use add files icon within the dialog next to the Vault Icon. a Selected Files dialog will be opened where you can navigate and select another file:
