Copy Design Error started showing up in Vault 2022.2 update and also exists in 2023.

Been running 2022.2+ for a month or two now. Also, testing 2023.0.2.

We are seeing an error in Copy Design where it appears that it is attempting to write back property changes to the .idw that you are actually copying from.

I'm pretty sure it started in 2022.2 update. We just have been dealing with it.

Keep in mind we are performing a CD on the model files and the idw comes along for the ride.

The files do get created, but CD acts like it doesn't complete. Doesn't show the file name like it should.

BTW...there's nothing in any of the server logs.

Can you share a part and drawing that you've seen behave this way?  I just tried this on one of mine and had no issues in 2023.0.2.  I'd like to try with yours, and then maybe see if I can figure out what is different.  Even a dummy set of files would be ok, rather than something propietary.

Just to update the thread, I have been unable to reproduce this issue using files provided by @steveh3 

@Senthil_Kumar have you ever seen anything similar?

Update....

So, working with support, they informed me that there is an issue with the properties when they don't exist in the files. 

After making the suggested changes per the article and the details of the error.....this was our error....

The error has since gone away.

For us, the issue started showing up in one of 2022's updates. Not sure which one or if that was even the culprit. We don't recall making any template changes, but that could have been a source of the issue as well
