change and use comment, when using copy design

Hi.

When utilizing the Copy Design feature in Vault, an automatic comment is generated, indicating the source file from which the copy is made. Is there a method to customize these generated comments and incorporate them into my 2D drawing?

I think you cannot map that Vault property to anything in your file. See here:

No, you cannot set the value of this property in Copy Design.

That it's unfortunate that this feature doesn't currently allow for adding the information on the drawing or altering the wording. In our situation, having the ability to indicate that a file is a copy of another one could be highly beneficial. Our CNC operator might then be able to reference elements from the previous program, potentially saving valuable time. I could of course do it manually, but automation would also save time

What version of Vault are you using?

We are currently using Vault Basic 2022, but we plan to upgrade to the 2024 version soon.
