Cannot Change State of File in Vault

Hello All,

I have been fighting Autodesk for the past couple of days and have come across a new problem that I am not sure how to fix. When trying to change the state of a file on the vault I cannot select any other option besides the state it is already on. Any help would be appreciated but please explain your solution like you are explaining it to a child, I have still not mastered Autodesk. Thank you (screen shot below)

Hello,

I am thinking this is a permissions issue.  Assuming you are the administrator for your Vault or have access to an administrator, you will need to see the permissions associated with the "release" state of the life cycle that you are in.  Since, we cannot see the name of the life cycle, I cannot call it out directly.  But to access this area you will need to do the following:

1.  As an administrator log into your vault and select Tools -> Administration -> Vault Settings

2.  In Vault Settings dialog, select the Behaviors tab

3.  Now click on the Lifecycles... button

4.  Here select the life cycle that you are using and click "Edit"

5.  Select the "Released" and click on the "Transitions" tab on the right

At this point, I am unsure what state you are looking to go to.  Select the desired state you want to go to and select the Edit button.  And click on security.   Add yourself there with full permissions and you should be able to transfer out of released.

Regards,
