BUG - IV Check-out from Vault 2020 not working properly

When I check-out an assembly within inventor using the vault add-in I am not prompted with checkout options, it only checks out the top level assembly.

The dialog is not suppressed, and is not showing up on a different screen. It's just running without any input.

IV and Vault both have the 2020.1 update.

Hello,

Suspect you are on Vault Basic 2020.0.1 update.

If yes, currently this is a known problem and we plan to address this in the upcoming update for 2020.

Yeah, Sorry, Vault is on 2020.0.1.

Is this just specific to that update or has this been an issue since 2020 was released?

I just got around to installing Vault and I was pulling my hair out because I could not get it to  behave properly.

Hello,

Yes, this issue is there since Vault 2020RTM.

And as mentioned earlier, this is planned to be fixed in upcoming 2020 update.

Crazy.

Is there anyway to checkout all the dependents besides doing a 'Get' from the vault client?

Any word when that update might be?

Hello,

The other option if you need to checkout all the dependents, can be to use the setting in the Checkout suppression dialog.

  1. Select 'Vault Options' in Inventor Vault ribbon.
  2. Select Checkout Dialog suppression settings.
  3. Select 'Include children' checkbox. + any other settings you want to use.

Please note, while we cannot commit on the timeline, this fix will be available soon with the next Vault 2020 update.

This hasn't worked properly since March 2019. We are closer to March 2020 than 2019.

Is there any progress on this?

Oh crazy! This might be a different bug related to the one mentioned here then. When doing a check out on an assembly from the Vault client, there is no dialog displayed for checking out its children.

@gandhey ,

Am I going crazy? Has the check-out option in Vault only checked out that particular file?

I could have sworn it did the children as well.

Hello,

The 'Checkout' command from Vault client is a quick checkout and will checkout only the file selected.

I am not sure if you are using this command.

Alternately you can use 'Get' command in Vault client, select required dependents and then select 'Checkout' option in the dialog.

If this do not help, please share a video of what you are trying/seeing.
