Autoloader 2018 Please HELP

Hi All.

Our company has hired more Inventor people and now we need to move to vault. I have 6yrs of inventor files to check-in to Vault. I have been following Mark Allen Flayler's Airing Dirty Laundry: Cleaning and Loading Your Data to Autodesk Vault on the Autodesk University web site. I have cleaned and sorted as per the handout / video and need to do the autoloader scan but can't get passed the Select Data Source. I get an "Unavailable project location(s)" error and don't get to the point of selecting the project file. I know I must be missing something somewhere. I've gone through the vault structure and created new vault project file and mapping. I not seeing the problem and need a second set of eyes on this. Below are a couple of pictures. Let me know if the is anything more I can provide.

Thanks

-john

Is the C:\VaultImportData folder available and do you have permissions to it?  Also try right clicking on the Vault Autoloader program and run as an Administrator to see if that helps.

Thanks,

Thanks Rob for responding. I did check that initially and did set permissions. Still didn't work.

Interesting development,, Earlier I had made a backup copy of the data and placed it a folder called "ProjectDataBackup" under the same "VaultImportData" and I happened to try it for sake of it and It worked??? It happened to have a vault project file that I made earlier. I still don't understand why the Designs folder didn't work. So I moved the "Designs" folder into the backup folder and it still didn't work.. So I'm thinking there is something is wrong with the Designs folder or something along that line.

Currently scanning the files now.

Thanks

try moving the folder to your local workspace and see if that helps, it maybe that the current project file is throwing a tantrum, i seen this a few years ago and was resolved by moving the folders to the local workspace

Thanks 🙂

Thanks Ian for the reply.

I will give it a try since Autoloader just CRASHED during the scan. It was 99% done....

Ian I thank you for the suggestion but there was no luck in moving the data to the local workspace.

I'm moving forward with the scans on the data. Now I just having trouble with Autoloader crashing during the scan.

Thanks
