Advanced search "and" with a "not"

I once in awhile need to search our vault (using vault professional) and I'll do booleans like " or *" or in the most recent "(*exampleA* and *exampleAB*) or (*exampleB* and *exampleBB*)"

Which works great. But now I need to do a search for "(*exampleA* and *draw*) not *wiring*" but I'm getting nothing from the query. Whereas with not using the "not *wiring* or "not wiring", I would get roughly 1000 results.

What am I doing wrong here?

Can you provide a screenshot of what it looks like in the Advanced Find dialog?

PS: I'm not using the Find tool dialog box b/c I need to search every field / property in these files. Attached is screenshot.

Looks like you can only use the boolean operator "AND" & "OR" in the basic search and cannot use "NOT".

I will have to look into this.

Yea, just using a straight forward example: "ExampleA not ExampleB" Returns no items. When I know the it should.

Again to reemphasize; "and" and "or" works fine.

PS: I learned about the "not" operator from https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/vault-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2015/EN...

^... Granted the above link says "Boolean operators are only available in the Advanced tab of the Find dialog"... But the "and" and "or" work here and the "not" wouldn't make sense in the Advanced tab of the find dialog b/c you the conditions to control that.
