Hello,

I would like to setup iLogic in Vault 2022.

I have placed the Autodesk.VltInvSrv.iLogicSampleJob to %ProgramData%\Autodesk\Vault 2022\Extensions

But I don't find iLogic icon in Vault Explorer.

What is the right Way ?

Are you looking to implement the iLogic Vault Extension? Found here: https://github.com/koechlm/Vault-Job-Processor---iLogic-Extension

You might be able to get more details from the readme there...

Yes. iLogic add-in is running in Inventor.

I took the e-learning of Markus Koechl from Autodesk University on iLogic and Vault. I had difficulty understanding the topic. In the Job Processing & iLogic chapter, it was possible to access iLogic Job administration in Vault 2020.

I would like to setup the same fonction in Vault 2022. It's possible ? What is the right way ?

The AU class is based on a custom Job extension. There is an improved version for Vault 2022 available: https://github.com/koechlm/Vault-Job-Processor---iLogic-Extension/releases/tag/2022.0.2. Download the two *setup* files according to the instruction written in the release note. I hope this helps.

Hi everyone,

I spend quite some time, figuring out how to get a sample job with ilogic running on Vault 2020.3.

We will not update in the next month, and I want to try and work with some simple ilogic rules for drawings. According to the release notes, such a job should be possible. But I can´t seem to find a "readme" that does not start with: only for Vault 2021 and higher.

@Markus.Koechl  If you could give me a hint on where to start, that would be very appreciated! The history on your github did not help me unfortunately.

Thanks a lot!

I think you figured out that you need to have a custom job environment enabling iLogic-Job-Rules, like the sample that I shared via GitHub. And yes, there is no version for 2020.3. The 2020 codebase has been the first draft (you can download a pre-release here), but the complete implementation that AU classes refer to starts with the 2021 version. I am sorry, there are only two options: if you are familiar with Vault Job Processor API, start with the latest 2022 code and back-port to 2020.3 SDK. Otherwise, I fear you need to update your Vault environment first. Upcoming enhancements will go into the latest and future versions only.

Hi @Markus.Koechl Markus,

thank you for the swift response!! As I´m not too familiar with the Job Processor API, even though we have a few custom jobs, I will seek for more external help in this case. I just didn´t want to miss something that might be already on your github! If something shows up that might help other people, I will continue to answer here.

Thanks again!

Matthias
