My company is in the process of implementing Vault and we are doing a good amount of development on Inventor as well (templates, styles, ilogic, ect). I am in a position where I am switching between Vault/Inventor development and working on live projects. Obviously inventor needs to be mapped very differently for vault vs shared network location. Currently I use 2024 for live projects and 2023 for vault dev. Is there a better way to handle this?

Hello @To_Efficiency_and_Beyond ,

When you say 2024 - are you referring to Vault 2024 OR Inventor 2024 OR both ?

It is suggested to have Inventor and Vault on same release level.

regards,

Yogeshwar

I use inventor 2024 for live projects. I use inventor 2023 + vault 2023 for development.

I prefer to develop for whatever year the production environment is in. The only time I like to have different years is during upgrades. For example upgrade dev environment/server from 2023 to 2024 while produciton is in 2023. Then once everything is tested and verified working in dev, move production to 2024. Does that help?
