Checking out all children of a parent

Hi All,

I am working with a large with many subassemblies and would like to check out all items or multiple subassemblies.

How do I select to check out an item and all its children without going through and expanding every child and ticking every item? I hope I am missing something simple. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Lewis

hi - I provided some detail to help with clarification and hope this helps you.

1 - right click on an assembly in the CAD plugin

2 - choose checkout (if you intend to make changes) or open to download only when not intending to make changes

3 - the checkout files window (or download files if open was selected) will appear. and there is a files column that you can right-click on.

4 - choose select all even if it's already selected.

5 - repeat and right-click on the drawings column and choose select all again even if it's already selected

6 - verify all are selected

7 - download

Hi @lmilesVSQKU and @mferguson3K8MS

Another approach to checking out all items under a parent item is to right-click the check-out box after selecting the check-out option on an item in the cBOM.

This approach allows you to check-out all development, released or all items under the parent.

Additionally, you can perform this action with an assembly that is already downloaded and active in CAD.

Kind regards,

Matt
