There are various ways of installing Autodesk software depending on your installation requirements. For some software, Download is the only available method.
Download and download/install methods:
Download: This downloads the entire installer to your computer. These files can be large but allow you to install Autodesk software without an active internet connection and install it onto single or multiple computers. This method takes the longest time as the downloading and installation steps are done one after another but are not impacted by an unstable internet connection.
Install: This is the fastest installation process for a single computer as this method downloads and installs the software in one step. As this method downloads and installs at the same time, a stable internet connection is required.
Custom Install: Allows you to adjust settings manually for both single computers and to create deployments for multiple computers. This method runs offline like the download method, allowing you to choose customizations in your Autodesk account, such as the products installed and the default install path. For more details see Custom Install from Autodesk Account.
