Hi everyone,
I wanted to start a discussion around improving productivity in Autodesk workflows using AI-driven input methods, particularly voice commands.
In many design, engineering, and operations workflows, action items, notes, or follow-ups come up during reviews, coordination calls, or site discussions. These details are often entered into systems later, which can interrupt focus or lead to missed context.
One approach we’ve been exploring is using voice-based AI agents, for example, tools like Gennie, to capture spoken updates and sync them with existing tools, while Autodesk products remain the system of record.
Potential use cases include:
Capturing action items during design reviews using voice
Logging notes or follow-ups hands-free
Reducing context switching between discussions and documentation
Supporting more natural interaction alongside automation workflows
I’m interested to hear from the community:
Where does manual data entry slow you down most in Autodesk-related workflows?
Have you experimented with voice commands or AI-driven automation?
Do you see voice-based input adding value in design, construction, or manufacturing processes?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences.
