r/AutoCAD is Toxic

Hi! Recently I posted on the AutoCAD subreddit inquiring about any potential CAD job leads because the online job forums are filled with fake listings, and not just for myself but for everyone (since we all are in different industries). The post got some good traction, some people messaged eachother about positions, and it became a positive little thread for everyone in it.

That is until the r/AutoCAD mods deleted the thread and permanently banned me. I don’t understand why this was done, it was not infringing upon any rules of this subreddit. I wasn’t notified as to why it was taken down either.

I’m trying to not jump to conclusions but this seems a little weird considering it was genuinely a supportive and informative thread.

So, let’s make a new thread here!

Online job boards are notoriously plagued with ghost jobs and scams. Building a professional network directly within communities is often much more effective than relying on generic applications. This alternative space offers a platform for drafters and engineers to safely connect and share verified job leads without relying on third-party aggregators.

Thank you for the reply! Yes I agree, I was trying to foster a community discussion on there but it was met with a ban. Gatekeeping behavior. I appreciate that this forum allows for such discussion in hard times! Good luck to everyone out there!

I'm not on the reddit r/AutoCAD thread, but are those mods working for Autodesk? If so check to see what the community guidelines are, there's a big chance that there is something in there that directly explains why you were banned. If the reddit is not monitored/organized by Autodesk then I don't see how posting about it here could help. 

I don't know where you're from, but in Belgium-Europe I don't feel job listings are contaminated by 'ghost jobs and/or scams'. This might be because of better government regulation.
There are other platforms and social media (LinkdIn etc.) that cater more to jobhunters and might welcome your efforts to create a community of 'CAD' related work offers. (if it doesn't exist already)
