Yeppers, it happened yesterday, I officially became a senior citizen.

I guess I can now go to dinner at 4:30pm, get the discounts and yell at the kids to "get off my lawn".

Age is experience and experience is wanted.

You're the guides for people like me, as we take advice from every post you made.

I'll raise a glass and say cheers for all the past advice and fun and all that's yet to come.

Oh man, you are part of the one generation that saw computers go from non-existent, to more powerful than engineers need. Ironically, its the gamers pushing and paying for the technology!

So don't become one of those bitter anti-video game gerkins. Other than that, enjoy the middle of the day golf cart to the grocery store rides! Grab me a box of Metamucil while you are there.

Definitely make the most of it as @JamesMaeding said.

@JamesMaeding I'm not going to complain about power as long it says at a managable rate, it's ridiculous what I could 5 years ago let alone now and let alone over the last 25+years.

LOL...if I wasn't able to play Fallout, Skyrim or Red Dead Redemption, I'd go insane.

I think the most I ever got into a vid game was either the Lode Runner game on Apple II+, or pac-man on an emulator maybe 15 years ago. Now the games are so involved, I don't have the energy. I do love playing back seat driver when my son plays Rocket League. His alias is Shmee. I feel like I am back on the AYSO soccer field, telling him to get back in position or follow up the pass. He corrects me and says "I know what to do...". He trades cryptocurrency too. A little entrepreneur he is...

Congratulations on completing another lap of the sun!

Good to know there's someone else on here who remembers a time before 4-function calculators, Pong, and mountain bikes. Smiley LOL

@JamesMaeding Hehe, back seat driving is alot of fun, I can't deny. I do agree with modern games, so few major titles are drop ins, its a committment, which for you and a college student don't have the time for.

Be warned....go out and get yourself a VR setup. I prrefer the HTC Vive (I tried the Oculus Rift and exchanged it in for the Vive). Get some of the free roamer/open environment types games I stated above and you'll be hooked.

Nothing at all like the console games, the VR versions literally put you into the game. If you get motion sickness, avoid at all costs though....granted there are some settings you can choose to minimize such, but it takes away from the experience a bit.

Fallout 4 and Skyrim are flat out amazing in VR.

Agreed, VR is amazing, high cost but worth it IMO some of the games on are phenomenal, Superhot is fun as well alot of others my friend has, unfortunately I dont have the space to run such a setup....

Be careful, after 40 when you sneeze, instead of hurting yourself, you end up pooing yourself....;)
