We use LogMeIn to transfer projects to and from office to laptops, etc. Well, there are files that AutoCAD creates deep down in the Workspace Tool Palette directory of a project who's file names exceed the length allowed by LogMeIn to transfer back and forth.
Do we have to ability to have AutoCAD shorten or simplify some of these file names?
Have you tried Remote Desktop? It's what I use for that purpose. You can drag and drop files just like it was an extension of your personal computer and file names don't matter. I have also never encountered any difficulties with file size. And it's free.
