Sooo its a little like walking into a Wal-Mart in a different town. Its all the same stuff, but in slightly different places and you cant find anything like you can in your home store lol. I like the look but this is gonna take some getting used to.

LOL, fine analogy!

I was just about to post and ask if anyone can give me a tip on telling which threads are unread?

They've got the same bolding on thread titles and the little checkmarks and other things don't seem to be related to things I've read vs not read, and I am not getting a hover over on any of them to explain what they do mean.

It's a pleasant looking redesign, but, that inability to intuit what is still unread is just driving me bonkers(er).

Unread are dark blue (click will take you into the discussion

Read are black or dark grey (nothing happens when you click on them)

You will find a lot of discussion about the changes in the Community Feedback forum.

Thanks!

That shading bit makes sense.

I should apparently pop over though, because I can tell the differences between read and unread posts... but, not threads.

Even marking all as unread then marking all as read does not give any indication.

Maybe it's Chrome and I should try it in another browser?

If you entry the tread by clicking on the blue unread indicator, I think the last read message has a yellowish back ground. I'm not sure. I'm not sure if clicking the post name does the same.

@_gile comments in the following thread that you can set a preference to jump to the first unread. can't go to latest post

Okay NOW I see it! The number over the word 'replies' will be blue if there are unread posts and black if you've already read them.

Whew.

I have a hard time telling the difference between the dark blue and the black text... most forums will use bolding of the thread title or shading of the background of teach post title or something (going by size or shading rather than color differences in deference to accessibility).

Thanks!

They may be working on it. I think both the number and word Replies should be black/blue. For me, right now, everything is black. Even in forums I am visiting form the first time.

We are working on several things. the UI and tread read\unread is one of the higher priorities.

Please just bear with us.

Thanks for letting us know! 🙂 I always wonder if it's just me missing something obvious.

any one found the equivalent of the "my toolbox" thing.... at least that's what I think it used to be called. Basically it was that light blue/green box on the right that showed the last couple of threads you posted in when you clicked on it. I'm missing that.

I do like and welcome the forums redesign. Lots of performance improvements and a great look.

What I do find a little annoying is the font size. Way too big for my monitor, also I find myself scrolling more than usual.

Yeah, the screen real-estate changed so my eyes end up wandering to the wrong spots.

Hi admin.

Can you tell me a way to tag or highlight my own posts, or my reply to other's posts.

After a day or so they move down the list and it's a job to find them again.

I've tried bookmark, but I can't see anything happening with the message.

I feel like thats a really good idea, a personal letter box to posts your involved in that disappear when solved or you personally remove them.
