CAM generating reversed toolpaths.

I have a simple test piece where that has apart surface that is .25 x 2 inch.  There is a .020" deep .25" x .25" step at one end that needs to be cut.  I use this to test the accuracy of the depth of cut.  Previously the toolpath would start at the other edge and work toward the step (the riser).  I went create a new tool path and now it starts by full slotting along the riser, and then working toward the outer edge of the part.  Any idea why this is happening?

This is a simulation issue.  I ran the path on the real machine and it cut the way that I expected it to and the way it has always worked. It started at the end of the material and worked it's way toward the step riser.
