Now in Production – Tandem’s NEW Spaces Panel and Combining Levels

User interaction with spaces is getting a new look with the newly introduced Spaces Panel. This panel allows users to directly engage with Spaces and Levels in a Tandem facility creating a better user experience to access, explore, and navigate a digital twin and its data more efficiently.

Within the Spaces Panel, users can:

  • Switch between an index of rooms or levels in their facility
  • Interact with Rooms
    • See the number of rooms on each level
    • See a list of all Rooms defined in a facility*
    • Select or multi-select, classify rooms, map, or modify room parameter data (once classified)
    • See room locations in the facility
    • Sort the list of rooms by level, name, or department
  • Interact with Levels
    • See a list of all the defined levels in the model
    • Select or multi-select to classify levels, map, or modify level parameter data (once classified), and see level locations in the facility (based on locations of all elements associated with a level)
    • Multi-select Levels to view them in your digital twin and combine levels where appropriate in the properties panel
    • Selecting one level at a time and rename the level to a common or standard convention
  • Take Full advantage of the robust search bar to better navigate and interact with your digital twin.

In addition to the Spaces Panel, Levels, Rooms, and Spaces now appear as Revit categories and as line items in the Inventory tables when filtering is selected correctly.

Start using the Spaces Panel today, and as always, we look forward to your feedback.

*For models sourced from Revit, an entity in our Room list includes Rooms and Spaces (distinguished by an info icon)
